Three Party Politics in New Zealand, 1911-1931

Historical Publications, 1982

Five times this century the winner of a general election was not clear on election night. This 66-page booklet deals with the first four of these elections - 1911, 1914, 1922 and 1928 and the ways in which the initial uncertainty was resolved. While not devoting a lot of space to the rise of the New Zealand Labour Party, these pages are really about the effect which that party wrought upon the electoral scene between 1911 and 1931.

Three Party Politics can be procured through Brewster's Rare Books, Box 602, Nelson, New Zealand.
